    Big bag conditioner - Crushing of big bags to break up the build-up of the product


    The SmashR® Conv big bag emptying station gives operators autonomy in decompacting powders stored in big bags. In its automatic version it controls massaging cycles, cycle times and the evacuation of the conditioned big bag without the need for repetitive operator intervention.

    It optimizes production times and automates the crushing of lumps contained in big bags.


    "Standard" cycle

    1. The big bag is fed onto the conveyor
    2. Cycle starts automatically
    3. The gates exert 4 upwards pressure on the big bag.
    4. Table rotates 90°
    5. The wings exert 4 upwards pressure on the big bag.
    6. Table rotates 90°
    7. The cycle is complete, and the big bag is automatically discharged.

    The number of presses and table turns is adjustable.

     

    Duration of "standard" cycle: 5 min.
    Output: approx. 12 big bags/hr
    Force: > 15T / > 150 kN

    Operating mode :

    1. The big bag is conveyed by conveyor.

    2. The decompaction mode has been pre-selected, taking into account:
    - Big bag height
    - Number of massage cycles
    - Number of times the table is raised/lowered
    - Once the operating mode has been selected, the operator launches the cycle from the control panel.

    3. The massage cycle starts automatically.

    4. Once the cycle is complete, the big bag is discharged onto the conveyor.

      Description:

      This option consists of equipping the SmashR® with a high-speed hydraulic pump, which speeds up big bag breaking cycles. 
      During the start up phase, the cylinders are moved at high speed and low pressure.
      For the massaging cycle, a slower and high-pressure pump breaks up the deep seated lumps.
      With a high-speed pump, the SmashR can process big bags more quickly.

      Integrated traceability system

      Description:

      The integrated traceability system enables the SmashR® to generate detailed reports on the history of operation. This includes data such as cycle times, force applied, downtime, etc. These reports offer complete traceability of the big bag unpacking process, which can be essential for quality monitoring, regulatory compliance and continuous process improvement. Data is stored on a server or USB stick.

      Description:

      The integrated rangefinder system automatically analyzes the size and shape of the big bag before starting the conditioning cycle. Using this data, the SmashR® automatically adjusts its parameters to ensure optimum decompaction. This system is particularly useful for : 

      • High-value big bags
      • Big bags with unusual shapes
      • Fragile products
      • Toxic products
      • Big bags that regularly vary in size

      When you start a cycle with the classic station, positioning and settings depend on the operator. In this case, the system takes care of the various settings.

      Description:

      The SmashR® HAZLOC is a solution specially designed for environments where safety is paramount, particularly in hazardous areas. 

      It offers a number of features to ensure compliance with HAZLOC standards, such as:

      • Isolated environment: every element at risk is isolated. This prevents hazards inside the SmashR®. 
      • HAZLOC lifting table: The SmashR's lifting table is also designed to HAZLOC standards, guaranteeing its safety when crushing big bags containing flammable powders.
      • Big bag grounding during activation: An innovative system enables the SmashR® to ground the big bag, reducing the risk of static electricity in sensitive environments.

      Core-breaking cylinder on top of the big bag

      Advantages: 

      Breaks lumps at the center of the big bag.
       

      Description:

      • This option adds additional cylinders to the top of the SmashR®, providing extra pressure for more efficient big bag conditioning
      • The cycle is started with the big bag on the table
      • The 4 paddles exert upward motion pressures on the big bag
      • The lifting table descends
      • Core-breaking cylinder extends
      • The lift table rises and presses the big bag against the core-breaker cylinder.
      • The table rotates 90° and the cycle is repeated. 

      This feature is particularly useful for very compact or difficult-to-crumble materials, improving the productivity and efficiency of the big bag unloading process.
