Case studies - Synthetic chemical
Conveying of raw materials, dosing (weighing/de-weighing), incorporation into the mixer, reactor or dissolver, preparation and dosing of micro-ingredients.
When feeding mixers, reactors, dissolvers, the main objective is to incorporate raw materials in a reliable way, with high dosing accuracy and safety. The formulations include a rhythm of incorporations with mandatory compliance with times, quantities, pressures and temperatures. The raw materials introduced for the reaction are generally stored in storage silos, sacks, drums or big bags.
The reactors are generally supplied by pneumatic conveying with integrated weighing management. Due to the explosive atmosphere very often present in this type of installation, the ATEX standard is applicable in most processes (zone 0 and/or 20).
The control and monitoring of the installations are carried out in the supervision room via a PLC and a supervision PC (with a PC View license).
