Processed powders: plaster, cement and starch
Plaster preparation
Leading company in the manufacture of plaster and plasterboards.
The objective of this installation is to empty 25kg bags at high speed with a minimum of human operation to feed a downstream pneumatic conveying system.
The discharge rates required by the customer are as follows:
- Gypsum: 7 tons/hour
- Cement: 15 tons/hour
- Starch: 11 tons/hour
Feeding the bag dumping station:
The bags, stored on a pallet, are lifted using a bag manipulator. Thanks to this vacuum lifting system MANIS, the bag is handled effortlessly by a single operator. He then places the bag on the infeed conveyor of the bag emptying system.
Automatic bag emptying:
The bag conveyor is a belt conveyor with cleats to convey the bags to the drive belts of the bag automatic discharging system Varislit®.
The bag automatic discharging system Varislit® opens up all types of bags at an average rate of 10 bags per minute. The double-blade rotary system, which is standard on this machine, and its elongated shape allow large bags to be processed with an extremely high emptying rate.
Empty bag management:
Its patented inversion system carries empty bags to a sack compactor, which is an integral part of the system. The bag compactor reduces the volume of waste, while minimizing dust emissions in the working environment.
Dust emission management:
A dust collection system is integrated on the automatic bag emptying machine Varislit®.
The dust extraction option offers the best solution for automatic, fast and dust-free opening.
Also, the entire mechanics are placed outside to avoid contact with the raw material (bulk, granules, powders...). A static chute is bolted under the machine to allow the powders to be sent to the pneumatic conveying system.
The introduction of the bag is now carried out ergonomically at high speed in a clean environment. The bag automatic discharging system Varislit® allows the empty bags to be emptied and compacted while ensuring the area is contained by a dedicated and integrated dust collection system. The machine is designed according to the Atex directive, thus integrating a reinforced frame and an explosion vent connected outside the building.
