Processed ingredients: spices and additives
Manual dosing workshop
Our client is a major player in the spice industry and was looking for a solution to optimize their spice premix preparation line. Their process involved manual dosing of various minor ingredients such as herbs, spices and additives prior to their incorporation into the blending line.
The customer wanted to reduce dosing errors, improve process efficiency and accuracy, and ensure compact and organized storage of various ingredients.
The Palamatic Process proposed solution is the installation of an OPDosing® Carousel unit.
The OPDosing® Carousel process line is an innovative solution for the dynamic storage and manual dosing of minor ingredients. The unit is equipped with:
- a mobile scale mounted on a rail
- indicator lights for quick identification of ingredients
- independent modules for easy bin indexing.
Project Results:
Thanks to the implementation of the OPDosing® Carousel, our customer has seen the following improvements in their spice premix preparation line:
- Reduction of dosing errors: the mobile scale allows precise and efficient dosing of minor ingredients, minimizing errors and variations in the ingredients dosed quantities for the final spice mixtures.
- Improved productivity: Easy access to the ingredients, as well as the presence of indicator lights for quick identification of the bins, have saved operators time when preparing spice premixes.
- Compact and organized storage: The OP Dosing Carousel provides compact storage of ingredients which takes up less floor space and improves the organization of the premix preparation area.
- Flexibility: The volume of each ingredient varies between 5 and 25 liters, offering greater flexibility to adapt to the specific needs of the customer in terms of storage and dosing of minor ingredients.
