Tanker truck loading
Container tipping equipment for the transfer of plastic granules into a tanker truck
This installation provides equipment for the deconditioning of plastic granules stored in octobins for loading into tanker trucks.
After the production process, the plastic granules are stored in octobins for transfer to the truck loading stage area. There the octobins are emptied and the material loaded into tanker trucks for transportation to end customers and silos.
The truck loading method is conducted by two systems: a 1 ton octabin tipper OctoFlow® 02 and a screw conveyor. The octabin tipper is located on a platform that feeds a collection hopper which then feeds the screw conveyor for loading.
The truck loading sleeve ensures a clean and dust tight connection to the storage tank.
The assembly is designed for easy cleaning and avoidance of cross-contamination between batches and loading operations.
The loading augers incorporate cleaning hatches in the lower part of the assembly, allowing operators to purge the material. The octabins are tilted and discharge via a hydraulic lift and the installation does not require a dedicated person for operation. A forklift operator provides the loading and transfer of the octabins onto the loading platform. All material contact parts are made of stainless steel.
The truck driver positions himself under the sleeve with the help of a traffic light and camera. This integrated equipment provides feedback to the driver for positioning and docking to the tank under the loading sleeve. The screw conveyor integrates a dispersion cone and level probe with rotating paddles to optimize the filling of the tank. Once the level probe is tripped, the servo-controls provide signal feedback to the transfer screw.
