The customer is a manufacturer of PVC compounds and polymer composite materials for various industrial applications: buildings, cables, piping, technical profiles, automotive, food industry, etc.

After the installation of a formulation and extrusion line, the client required the packing of its finished product - polymer composite materials - in 800 kg bulk bags under a homogenization silo. This 30 m³ silo provides storage of the homogeneous production by continuous mixing and stirring.
The bulk bag filling system controls the feed via a rotary dosing valve through integrated load cells. The selected filling station model is our FlowMatic® 03 bulk bag conditioning system with integrated pre-forming fan for optimizing the shape of the bulk bag and densification of the material.
Further aiding densification of the product is a vibrating table under the bulk bag. An operator walkway provides access for closing the bulk bag spout once filled. Loading of the FIBC can be done by operators at the ground level due to the mobile design of the filling head.
This solution ensures ergonomics and safe operation as the operator does not have to access the platform to load the empty bulk bags.
