In order to meet the hygienic standards of the pharmaceutical application, the EasyFlow® EF1 bulk bag emptying station is equipped with a docking cylinder that clamps down on the bulk bag spout to maintain a dust tight connection during discharge of material. The bulk bag discharge system is implemented in a deconditioning cabin.
The integration of a vibratory sifter provide seamless product quality control, free of foreign contaminants before feeding to the production line via a pneumatic vacuum conveying system.
The bulk bag is handled by an electric hoist for loading onto the bulk bag station. A mechanical screw conveyor provides the transfer of the sodium bicarb from the bulk bag and meters a steady, continuous feed into the vibrating control screener. The bulk bag and conveying system is fabricated from stainless steel and the entire processing area is installed in a white zone with controlled atmosphere.
The VFlow® pneumatic vacuum conveying system is fitted with an additional filter for hygienic conveying air. Furthermore, the pneumatic conveying system is operated by an electric vacuum pump located outside the production area. A buffer hopper positioned below the pneumatic conveyor provides a continuous supply to the process for batch operation of the powder pump.
The hygienic installation, with pharmaceutical finishes, is perfectly suited to the medical and pharmaceutical industries by preventing contamination from the external environment. Other product control measures are provided by additional process equipment such as centrifugal sieve, magnetic detector, powder sampler.
