Processed powders: maltodextrin, sorbitol, powdered sugar, crystal sugar...
Vertical transfer of dragees
The customer is a manufacturer of chewing gum in tablets.
Palamatic Process has installed in parallel of the Z-arm conveyor and mixer line, a sugar grinding line as well as a dosing unit for powdered ingredients (maltodextrin, sorbitol, powdered sugar, crystal sugar...).
The crystal sugar upstream of the grinding process is stored in buffer silos to provide continuous production.
After the production of the gum base and chewing gum, the tablets are fed into a coating machine which also cools the tablets.
In the continuation of the chewing gum manufacturing process in tablets, Palamatic Process has implemented pendular tilting bucket elevators allowing a high throughput transfer without product breakage.
The feeding of the buckets is ensured by vibrating transfer conveyors. The design of the vertical bucket elevator offers the ideal solution for handling fragile products. The vertical elevation presents an important space savings in food processing lines. The multi-outlet bucket elevator allows a solution for feeding several coating lines from multiple loading points. In our customer's application, the pendulum bucket conveyor is loaded from a single point but feeds three coating stations.
The hygienic design of the chewing gum conveyor allows the operators easy and quick cleaning access by disassembling the buckets for immediate inspection.
This type of pendulum tilting bucket elevator is designed for handling all your fragile products with high and/or fine grain sizes, as well as the layout combining horizontal and vertical sections.
