Seed packing line
Our client, located in Chile, is a leader in the production and sale of corn seeds for over 40 years in South America.
The objective of the installation is a bulk bag filling station, called the FlowMatic® 02, for seed packaging. The filling structure has an integrated height-adjustable bulk bag hanger for securing the FIBC. The height adjustment of the structure is driven by a pneumatic cylinder and controlled by the panel. This feature allows the bulk bag filling to be optimized and shaped during the filling operation, allowing the use of bulk bags with varying dimensions.
The super sack filling station is supplied with corn seeds upstream via a slide gate valve. This valve allows the gravitational extraction and metering of the seeds, as well as flow control of the corn seeds in bulk thanks to its central gate. The knife gate cuts off the passage of the grains and guarantees total sealing against the bulk flow.
A flexible fitting allows a tight connection between the guillotine valve and the filling tube of the conditioner. It is composed of two stainless steel tubes and a flexible coupling. This sleeve is installed in line with this configuration but can also be positioned offset or on an oscillating stub (such as vibrating screeners).
