Automatisation of big bag discharging

In this article, we see how to optimize the automatic emptying of mass-produced big bags. Some people wonder how to unpack the large quantities of big bags used in industry? How can compact big bags be emptied after difficult transport conditions? What solution can be used to automatically empty all types of big bags?

This article will try to answer your questions, by proposing a solution with the Palamatic Process and SmashR® equipment.

To automate the process of decompacting and emptying big bags, we combine the use of a SmashR® Conv with an EF500. Here's how our solution works:

1. Big bag storage on a conveyor

Big bags are placed on a covneyor, which automatically transports them to the SmashR® Conv.

2. Decompaction with the SmashR® Conv

Once in front of the SmashR® Conv, big bags are decompacted by the controlled pressure exerted by the SmashR® Conv's hydraulic cylinders.

3. Transfer to the EF500

After decompaction, big bags are automatically transferred to the EF500 clamp, ready for emptying.

4. Venting with the EF500

The EF500 grips the big bags and opens them above the discharge hopper, allowing the product to flow freely.

5. Product processing and big bag compaction

Once emptying is complete, the product can be processed according to the needs of the production process, while the emptied big bag is compacted.

This solution guarantees efficient, automated big bag decompaction and emptying, improving the productivity and efficiency of your production process

The SmashR® Conv guarantees decompaction with minimum operator intervention.

It can be connected to more or less automated equipment, such as the EF200
